I enjoyed my stay at Raniban, as it offers an incredibly peaceful atmosphere with breathtaking views of the mountains and the lake. The boutique hotel's charm is evident, but accessibility can be a challenge, especially if you have a bit of luggage or mobility issues. While breakfast was fresh and diverse, I was hoping for more engaging activities. Overall, a pleasant retreat for those seeking tranquility and spectacular views.

My room had stunning views of the mountains and the lake, but the hot water was a bit unreliable at times.

While the staff was well-intentioned and attentive, there were moments where I felt the service could have been smoother, especially regarding the cab fare communication.

The location is elevated and away from the hustle and bustle, offering peace and privacy; however, it can be a bit isolating if you want to explore the town.

The facilities are nice, but more activities such as yoga or meditation sessions would really enhance the retreat experience.

My partner and I had an incredible stay at Raniban Retreat, surrounded by stunning views and tranquility. The welcoming staff and delicious food made our visit exceptional. However, there were a couple of challenges, notably the hike up the steps with luggage and a slightly musty room that we had to switch. Still, the breathtaking scenery made it all worth it!

We experienced mixed results with the rooms. While our Sunrise room had a great view, another room had a damp smell that required us to ask for a change. Overall, the views were amazing.

Dining was a highlight, with some of the tastiest meals we've had in Nepal. The paneer makhani was particularly notable.
Facilities

Amenities were adequate for a retreat-style setting, but could improve in aspects like breakfast variety.

Raniban Retreat offers truly breathtaking views of the Himalayas and a peaceful escape from the chaos of daily life. The location is stunning, perched on a hilltop, and the rooms, while basic, are comfortable and clean. The service is warm and accommodating, although there were minor hiccups like the unreliable hot water. Dining was decent, though some meals could use a bit more flavor. Overall, it's a fantastic value for the experience you get, but just be prepared for the journey to get there.

Raniban Retreat is a hidden gem, offering stunning views of the Himalayas and a peaceful atmosphere away from the hustle and bustle. The rooms are clean and comfortable, providing a magnificent vantage point of the surrounding beauty. The staff were incredibly warm and helpful, which added to the wonderful experience. However, the journey to reach the resort involves a bit of a trek, and some facilities could use improvement. Overall, it’s a superb choice for nature lovers looking to unwind.

Raniban Retreat offers breathtaking views of the Himalayas and a genuinely peaceful environment. While the service is attentive and the natural beauty surrounding the resort is stunning, the dining experience could use improvement and the trek to the property is quite challenging. Additionally, issues like inconsistent hot water and basic room amenities are notable downsides that detracted from an otherwise idyllic stay.

Rooms
7.0
Our room had incredible views of the Annapurna range right out the window, and we had access to a garden area, though it was shared with other guests. The facilities were quite basic, and hot water availability was unreliable.
Service
8.0
The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, and they even helped carry our luggage up the steep stairs to the resort. However, the limited room service and amenities left us wanting.
Location
9.0
Set high on a hilltop overlooking Pokhara, the location offers unparalleled views but is not easily accessible without a strenuous hike or a suitable vehicle. The scenic beauty truly compensates for the effort, though.
Dining
5.0
Dining at the retreat was a mixed bag; while we enjoyed the 'Raniban Special' breakfast, other meals lacked flavor and variety, leaving us to seek alternatives.
Facilities
6.0
Facilities were limited, focusing on the natural experience rather than luxurious comforts. The lack of TV or air conditioning was not an issue, but the absence of consistent hot water was disappointing.
